I attended the 2011 Digital Signage Expo to do some research on current touch monitors and what may be announced in the next few months. The most impressive and useful information is the thin 46" LCD available from NEC and LG. I met with the executives of several companies and we have some options for adding single touch to these monitors without adding anything to the bezel. This is of particular interest to the design goals of the CMA LLC project. There are several short video clips below that demonstrates the key points of the touch technologies. The trade show was not large so I was able to visit all of the vendors of interest to our applications in the 7 hours I had to be on the show floor.
